Come Visit the Farm
If you are living in mid-Michigan or are traveling near by, Russell's Blueberry Farm and Book Barn is the best place to get fresh, delicious blueberries. Our farm stretches across 84 acres and is located about 8 miles west of Saginaw, near Freeland. Our farm contains over 25,000 blueberry plants from 10 different varietals. This large variety means we have a longer growing season than most farms (Starting the week after July 4th through Labor Day, and often longer) and allows us to provide the right type of berry for you, whether you're planning on making a pie, jam, muffins, or just eating the berries! Our property also includes a 10-acre lake, picnic tables and swings for your enjoyment and relaxation. The farm is now handicap accessible, including restrooms. We welcome service animals, but please leave your pets at home.
The Book Barn
Our Farm is also home to our Book Barn, housing over a half million new and used books including many rare and hard-to-find titles, as well as, classic best-sellers. Our barn houses a vast array of categories including a large collection of both romance and science fiction.
We continue to offer Watkins Products, which is an all-natural and diverse line of personal care, home care, remedies and organic flavorings. We are also hosting a number of events and activities for every member of the family including Waffle Brunch Sundays, Twilight Delight Saturdays and Festival Days where children can enjoy cotton candy and snow cones while visiting the farm. Please see our Activities page for more details.
Make Russell’s a stop on your destination list. Whether for a day of blueberry picking, or an afternoon picnic, Russell’s Blueberry Farm and Book Barn are fun for the whole family!
